Thank You Card

Hello There!!  So if you visit me a lot, then you've probably noticed that I don't make to many cards.  Well guess what?!  Today I'm sharing a card!!  One of our friend's mom is so sweet to us and the other day she made us TWO banana bread cakes.  Oh man, they are so so good!  One was suppose to go in the freezer for later but not around here, lol.  We ate them both and yes I'm paying the price because I've been gaining a lot of weight lately but that's a whole other conversation.  Anyway we really appreciate her thinking of us so I wanted to make her a card.

I made my base with BoBonny Ocean Dot.  I really love the color of this paper.  I've been hoarding it for years (literally).

Almost everything else I used is from the Colorbok Flea Market collection.

I used an Inkadinkado stamp for my sentiment and made a stick pin with the beads in my stash.  The flower button is also from my stash.  I hope she likes the card I made her :D

Thanks so much for stopping by today & have a beautiful, inspired day!!

Heather Lynn will choose ONE winner next week! Okay now onto my project!!
I made this cute little tag in the beautiful colors of Spring.  If you visit me often either here or on FB then you know that I like to say "WOOT, WOOT" and I want you to know that every time I type it in I'm doing my little happy dance, lol.  So when you see it, just know that I'm raising the roof over here ;D

Now for the nitty gritty of this tag! I used a #8 tag and spayed it with Dylusions inks. Then I ran it through my Cuttlebug to emboss it and inked with TH Peacock Feathers. The little owl stamp is by Inkadinkado on the Gem Stone Birds set. The little frame is from Michaels. I made the stick pin and the smaller flowers are K and Company. The large pink flower, tulle and ribbons are from my stash and the sentiments are by Making Memories.

Well friends that's it for me!! Up next is my EXTREMELY talented friend Lisa of A Mermaids Crafts, enjoy!!

Here's the complete line up just in case you get lost along the way.

Hello My Love - Card

Hey there friends!  I've got a new card to share with you today.  I completed this one last night and planned to share it early this morning but omgosh.....I woke up feeling like death.  Thankfully my DH stayed home to help with my grandson and I'm starting to feel better now.  (Thanks honey, love you)

Okay now onto my card ;D

I actually made this card to enter into the Simon Says Black, White and another color challenge but I missed the deadline (hate when that happens).  I chose to use black, white and red.  Boy this was harder to do than I thought it would be.  I guess because I love playing with the whole box of crayons and love loads of contrast.
For this card I started by cutting Card #2, Layers from the Sentimentals Cricut Cartridge from white cardstock.  Next I cut black cardstock for my base and stamped it with a Metallic Pearl Dabber.  I believe the stamp I used is Inkadinkado.  I stamped the white cardstock with two shaded of red Colorbox ink and a Recollections stamp.  Then I inked it with Tim Holtz distress inks in Fired Brick and Festive Berries.  I also ran it through the sewing machine to add an extra little detail.  I added some glitter embossed swirls for a little framing and doodled around the edges.  I finished this off with some inked ribbon, a charm, sticker letters and a heart cut with Cricut Accent Essentials.  I also ran it through the swiss dots embossing folder.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and WELCOME to my newest bloggie friend Mallrat!!
HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

Home Sweet Home - Altered Bird House

Well friends, today it's time to get back to work & school.  Christmas break is officially over so you know what that means right?!  Let the count down to Spring Break begin, lol.  The break was good but honestly I'm glad to be back to a regular schedule.

I sincerely want to THANK all of you who joined us for the very first Paper Wings Productions Design Team Blog Hop.  It really means a lot to me when I see familiar names visiting us on the PWP blog and even signing up as followers.  You guys are the BESTEST crafty peeps in the whole world and I'm so BLESSED to know you all :D  I'd also like to WELCOME my newest bloggie friends who joined me for the first time over the weekend.
GOOD LUCK to all of you who entered the PWP Giveaway!!

Last night I finished a little altered bird house I've been working on and I think this one came out a little more feminine than most of my projects so I hope you like it:

The metal butterfly has been sitting in my scrap bin for awhile so I'm really happy that I finally used it.

The little satin rose have literally been in my stash for over 10 years, YIKES!

I used a combination of patterned papers from my scrap bin, book text, tulle, beads and flowers to dress it up.

Here's a look at he back side, you can see some of the random stamping I added.  I applied a light white wash to the entire thing.

I think it's different for me but I really like it and hope you do too!

Thank you so much for visiting me today.  I hope you have a BEAUTIFUL day!!

I've entered this project in the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge: Embrace The Old

More Halloween Cuties!

Remember the Little Halloween Cuties I made a couple a weeks ago?  Well they sold so quickly that I decided to make another batch.  So here our my Little Halloween Cuties 2.0!

I think I this one the best.  I used a PWP stamp for the heart on her forehead and everything else was freehand.

This one is pretty cool too, it's all freehand.

I think this one is sad because the spiders are trying to take over :D  I used a combination of PWP and Inkadinkado stamps along with some freehand work.  The sentiment "artsy to the bone" is by PWP, it's in the Muertos stamp set.  I really like that saying.......hmmmm.......I think I might just adopt it as my motto ;D

This one is all Inkadinkado stamps.

Here they are all together, sorry for the glare my bright lights were reflecting off of the metallic white paint I used.  These little paper mache treat boxes are so much fun to work on.  I've got a couple more paper mache projects to get done by the craft show next weekend.  As soon as I'm done, I'll get them posted.  Well, I think I'm gonna take a break and go spend a little quality time with hubbz.  So I'll see ya later alligator!!

WELCOME ELSA!!! Thanks for following along and THANKS to all of you for your sweet comments on my little pumpkin patch!!!!!

Halloween Skull

Happy Hump Day!  We're half way through this short week and summer is fading fast.  Fall will be here before we know it and our focus will be on all those beautiful rich colors of fall.  Then the spooky Halloween treats ;D  So I'm getting a head start on all my projects and today I have a simple black and white paper mache skull:

Spooky huh.........I like decorating my entryway with Black and White during Halloween.

This is a small paper mache skull that I purchased at Michaels.

I just love that black and white flower.  I plan on using that in a Halloween floral arrangement.

Here is a closer look at the side.  This is all freehand ink work using India ink and my calligraphy pen.

Here is the other side.

A little book text is always good ;D and an Inkadinkado stamp.

Another book text heart, stamp and a rubon spider.

I'm really happy with the way this turned out, I might just keep this one :D  I still have a few more paper mache projects to complete and I also have a project to complete for an upcoming hop.  What about you?  What are you working on this week?  Oh and I just completed my last summery project for PWP so keep an eye out for that,  I let you know when it's up on their blog.  Well, that's it for today.  Have a beautiful creative day!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!!!

I entered this project in the DL.ART Thankful Thursday 1000 Post Linky Party.  Hop on over and join the fun!!

Art Journal

I decided to take a break from painting last night to recharge my batteries so today I'm sharing a page from my art journal.  I covered the entire page with my orange scrapbook paper scraps and some hearts I cut years ago with my Cricut.  I washed over the whole thing with Golden Fluid Acrylic in Raw Umber and drew in the cross.  The center of the cross is from an Inkadinkado stamp and the sentiment is a stamp too.

TGIF!!!

Jouney of the Heart

This 12x12 canvas ended up taking me two days to complete because of the heart.  It's made out of modeling clay so I had to wait for it to cure before I could paint, attach it and finish up.
