Happy 4th of July to all my American friends, I hope you're enjoying your day!!  This month I'm sharing a sun drenched art journal page.

This is an old page from my art journal.  It already had all of these beautiful colors on it from previous projects.

I added more layers using stencils and stamps.  The large flourish is from the Vintage Melange set.  The birds are from Bird Melange and the new Bird Beauty stamp set.

Next I added some molding paste to stamp into.  This is one of the stamps from the Bird Beauty set.

After that I added my focal image.  This big beautiful lady is from the Melange 3 Gypsy cling stamp set.  Then I decided to add more texture with molding paste and stencils.

I  love this quote from the new Bird Beauty stamp set!!!

Now for some personality!  I added Domino Washi tape, stamped canvas heart, metal crown, feathers, a flower and Queen B.  I used the Perfect Alphabet and bees from Vintage Melange.

I sprayed various shades of yellow Dylusion inks.  I also added some borders using a stamp from the Vintage Melange stamp set.

Okay, it's time to send you off to your next stop so head on over to Amber's Blog.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for stopping by!!  Today I'm working with the gorgeous 7 Dots Studio Nature Walk Collection that was generously supplied by our guest Nani ke Ola.  I'm also using these beautiful Paper Wings Productions stamp sets: Writing Backgrounds, Vintage Lace, Fringe Lace, Sunburst Pattern, Hanging Stars and Perfect Alphabet.

I'm using a 12x12 black matte board for my background.  I wanted to make sure I had a strong background for my wet mediums.  The beautiful weathered wood 7 Dots Studio paper is called Musical Blooms.  I trimmed it down to 10.5" to allow the a black border to show.  Next I added texture using a Heidi Swap stencil and mask set with molding paste.

Once the molding paste began to set, I imprinted the butterfly with the Writing Backgrounds Script stamp.

After that I spritz the butterfly with black Tattered Angels spray ink and outlined it with a white Signo pen.  Later on I decided that the white edges need to be toned down so I went over them with a grey marker.

Using the butterfly mask included in the Heidi Swapp stencil set, I began creating a stamped layer.  This is the Vintage Lace stamp.

I added more white paint splatters to balance out the splatters printed on the 7 Dots patterned paper.

Layering time!  I layered a doily from my stash, Nature Walk tags and stickers.  I also added a tag that I created using the Fringe Lace and Sunburst Pattern stamps.

My focal image is from the Vintage Cuties Clip Art Sheet.

I created my sentiment using both the Perfect Alphabet and Hanging Stars stamp set.

Finally to soften things up a bit I added beautiful ribbon and trim.

Okay, it's time to send you off to the final stop of the hop: The Aviary

Illustrated Stories & Sketches - Art Journal Page, Zeus and Zoe

Hey friends, today I'm sharing my last post as an official Zeus and Zoe team member so I'd like to take a moment to thank Marivic for the giving me this wonderful opportunity.  I have truly enjoyed working with the incredibly talented  Zeus and Zoe Design Team and all of the fabulous Zeus and Zoe products!!   A huge thanks to all of you too for your support during my Zeus and Zoe term!!!!!

For my last Zeus and Zoe project, I really wanted to share something fun in my favorite mixed media style so I created this colorful art journal page.

My background was already started with left over sprays and stencils so all I had to do was pick a focal image.  I chose to use this beautiful vintage lady from my Zeus and Zoe kit.  I colored her in using Prismacolor pencils, distress inks and markers, Liquitex soft body acrylic paint and a Faber-Castell brush pen.  I simply fussy cut her out of the paper and glued her on to my colorful world ;D

I added swirls with Golden Molding Paste and a DecoArt stencil.  Then doodled around the top and bottom of the page.  I added pops of color with Golden Fluid acrylic paints.  The fluid acrylic adds tons of color while allowing the colors underneath show through.

I added bits of vintage news papers from my Zeus and Zoe kit to create my title and for scallops along the inseam of the page.

I doodled flowers here and there to add some yellow as an accent color.  I wrote "Dare to dream in bold bright colors" along the top.  I imagine that this is the way my vintage lady sees the world.  I have to say, I'm so loving this art journal page!!  It makes me very happy with all of its bright colors and doodles; it's how I see my world, lol.

Well friends, thank you so much for visiting with me today!!  I hope my art journaling makes you smile too, HAVE A BEAUTIFUL/COLORFUL DAY FULL OF INSPIRATIONS!!!

HUGZ!!!
