Harvest Inspired Witch Hat

Hey friends, how's your week going so far?  I was a bit under the weather yesterday so I didn't do any new crafting.  Luckily I was on a roll last week and completed several fall projects.  So today I'm sharing a fall inspired witch hat.  I bought several of these and ended up doing the last two in the same color scheme so I wanted this one to be different. (Click HERE & HERE if you'd like to see the other two hats I did)

My DIL helped me out by giving all of my paper mache projects a coat of gesso, Thanks Kat!  I started by painting on a mixture of orange, raw umber and golden orchard acrylic paints.  Once the paint was dry I decided to add white tissue paper for some texture.

I applied a second layer of my paint mixture then did a little inking with Tim Holtz's Walnut Stain.  Next I added glittered cream tulle and fall florals.

The beautiful cream ribbon is from my stash.

See that gorgeous little buckle?  My DH bought that for me at a garage sale one morning.  He's an early bird and the rest of us are night owls so he goes out to garage sales early in the morning and finds little treasures for me.  He's the bestest ;D, lol.

Oh!  I wanted to tell you about my new toy!!  I've had several of you ask me about doing some video tutorials and after speaking to Carrie & Julie over at PWP I decided to give it a try.  So thanks to Julie's pointers, I went out a got a camera that I can use to upload videos.  I haven't had a chance to play with it just yet because I've been sick and my son thinks its his so he's been hogging it, lol, but keep an eye out for videos in the near future!  Gotta run, THANKS so much for stopping by!   Take Care!!
