Hello, hello! I hope you all are doing fabulous today. I'm so glad you've joined us for our RED themed hop. Red is such a beautiful and powerful color don't you think. It can convey love, passion and spark energy. It has the power to influence your mood for example a kitchen/dinning room painted RED will make you feel happy and encourages a healthy appetite. RED in a living room or office will keep you energized while RED in a bedroom will make it hard to unwind. RED has always been one of my favorite colors but I've started to mellow out in my old age, lol and now I lean toward the calm of blues. It's funny how color preferences change as we mature. Any who, today I'm using RED to create a romantic mood.
I recycled a scrap piece of 4x4 and a wooden dowel. I predrilled holes into the wood then inserted the dowel. I used the Husky heavy duty scissors to cut the dowels.
I glued glitter to the top of the wood and outlined the edges with beaded trim. I used the NEW Vintage Melange set (Psst...it's on sale this month) and the Flourish Elements set. Small wooden dowels are holding up each of the elements.
This lovely lady is on the NEW Vintage Melange set (Psst...don't forget, it's on sale this month). I used Prismacolor pencils and Stickles to color her. The frame is from my stash. It was white but I painted it black then distressed it by wiping it with a baby wipe.
To cover up the wood, I added crepe paper then layered vintage trim and black sequence trim. The sentiment is stamped onto canvas. You can find it on the Valentine Wishes stamp set
That's it, pretty easy right?! Before I let you go, I wanna tell you about the PWP February Challenge. This month we're having an Anything Goes Challenge. The winner will win a $20.00 gift certificate so go check it out. I hope you enter, here's the link: PWP Anything Goes Challenge
