Hi everyone, thank you so much for stopping by!!  Today I'm working with the gorgeous 7 Dots Studio Nature Walk Collection that was generously supplied by our guest Nani ke Ola.  I'm also using these beautiful Paper Wings Productions stamp sets: Writing Backgrounds, Vintage Lace, Fringe Lace, Sunburst Pattern, Hanging Stars and Perfect Alphabet.

I'm using a 12x12 black matte board for my background.  I wanted to make sure I had a strong background for my wet mediums.  The beautiful weathered wood 7 Dots Studio paper is called Musical Blooms.  I trimmed it down to 10.5" to allow the a black border to show.  Next I added texture using a Heidi Swap stencil and mask set with molding paste.

Once the molding paste began to set, I imprinted the butterfly with the Writing Backgrounds Script stamp.

After that I spritz the butterfly with black Tattered Angels spray ink and outlined it with a white Signo pen.  Later on I decided that the white edges need to be toned down so I went over them with a grey marker.

Using the butterfly mask included in the Heidi Swapp stencil set, I began creating a stamped layer.  This is the Vintage Lace stamp.

I added more white paint splatters to balance out the splatters printed on the 7 Dots patterned paper.

Layering time!  I layered a doily from my stash, Nature Walk tags and stickers.  I also added a tag that I created using the Fringe Lace and Sunburst Pattern stamps.

My focal image is from the Vintage Cuties Clip Art Sheet.

I created my sentiment using both the Perfect Alphabet and Hanging Stars stamp set.

Finally to soften things up a bit I added beautiful ribbon and trim.

Okay, it's time to send you off to the final stop of the hop: The Aviary

Come Ride With Me - Berry71Bleu Guest Designer

I'm so excited to be guest designing for Berry71Bleu today!  I'm joining in on Marilyn's Summer Challenge featuring beautiful 7 Dots Studio papers and Jacquard products.  So here is my spin of this fun challenge:

This month's challenge is all about sharing what you like to do best during summer.  During the summer months we like to travel as much as possible but it's usually really hard for my husband to get away.  So last we year we went on several smaller roads and this place was my son's very favorite place.  We road those boardwalk rides night after night til we left.

For this layout, I started out with a plain white sheet of cardstock.  I doodled around both the top and bottom edges with Jacquard Clear 3-D Lumiere.  Then I added a little Vintage Photo Distress ink to help bring out the doodles.

To add texture I started my layers off with cream colored burlap.  After that, I inserted gorgeous 7 Dots Studios Hopefully paper dusted with Micropearl Pearl Ex pigment powder.  I used white Dylusions ink to bind the Pearl Ex pigment powder.  The micropearl pigment works to soften the paper's color and add an elegant shimmer.

I matted the photo with vintage papers and a script tag from my Zeus and Zoe kit.  For my title, I simply wrote out "Ride" with India Ink on white cardstock and cut it out.  The rest of my title is written directly on the vintage papers.

To finish off my layout I added various flowers from my stash, a little bling and tiny butterflies for an added touch of whimsy.

Thank you so much for joining me today!  I hope I've inspired to join in on this month's Berry71Bleu challenge and I'd like to invite over to Zeus and Zoe.  We have a fun June Challenge: My Favorite Things going on as we speak.   So come on over and join the fun!!

Have a Beautiful Day!
