I'm so annoyed right now, I'm working on my grand daughter's baby blanket when my machine decides to jam. So I cleared the jam, reloaded the hoop and hit continue.....well it continued on the wrong letter! Now February is misspelled :o(
Any suggestions on how to fix this in a way that will look cute & deliberate? I was thinking maybe adding a flower or button with the R. Please help!!
Can you embroidery the r by hand??? I know my grandma has done a few letters by hand on some wall hangings and it looked good. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful blanket!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nichole; I think I could hand stitch a basic R. This might just have to be one of those little handmade corks, lol! I'm sure my son isn't gonna let me live this one down :o)
DeleteI like your idea of the button with the R. I'm a little late with my comment. Just found your lovely blog.
ReplyDeleteNo worries Diana, I'm glad you found me :o) I still haven't fixed the blanket because I need to run out and see what I can find that might work. I'm thinking my biggest problem will be the small spacing between the b and u. Wish me luck!!
DeleteI know im late at replying to this but I thought maybe doing an "R" and having it oversized and skinnier then the other letters with a constrasting color that goes well with your blanket... it could even be a cute bug shaped into an r with it being over sized (meaning the r would be taller then the other letters and also hang a tad lower then the other letters... anyhoo I know whatever you do it will look AMAZING!!!! can't wait to see your finished project!! ;)

I think that's what I'm gonna do. I did find a "R" shaped button but the more I thought about, I decided it could be a choking hazard. I really need to find this project up over the next couple of days because I wanna give it to her on Easter. I'm SUCH a procrastinator!!
